Title - New Oceans - Inspired by words my best friend said to me.

This half of the album is called "Calm"... and as the title suggests, it's a calming disc, so much so that it was calming to make. It sways from moments of ambience to piano ballads to calming guitar solos and ends off with a transition into the more upbeat half of the album that "Storm" (disc 2) intends to be.

It is meant to be simple, kind of like an Unplugged album, except this technically isn't unplugged. I just wanted there to be not a lot going on, it to be quiet, peaceful.

This album is improvisational and very experimental. It's not super structured, and many songs were done in a few takes with little planning. It is just an emotional outpour, where I didn't want to lose that feeling by writing music and being cold and calculating about it.

That means it's definitely imperfect, noticeably. Love it or hate it.
